Let me start by saying, luxury extensions are not a protective style, and should be treated with texture love and care. Maintaining natural textured hair with extensions requires a thoughtful and consistent regimen to ensure both the health of your natural hair and the longevity of your extensions.

Whether you have Volume Weft Microlinks, I-Tips, or K-Tips, it’s essential to use the right products and follow a structured routine. This guide provides a detailed morning and night regimen, along with weekly maintenance tips and in-salon schedules, to help you keep your hair looking its best.

We recommend a range of high-quality products, including Amika Reset Cleansing Oil, Pureology Strength Cure Shampoo and Conditioner, K. Rachelle Healing Butter and Oil, and Lanza Trauma Treatment. These products are selected for their ability to cleanse, condition, nourish, and protect both your natural hair and extensions. Following this regimen will help you achieve and maintain healthy, beautiful hair, while minimizing breakage and maximizing the lifespan of your extensions. For personalized advice and professional treatments, visit us at K. Rachelle Salon.

In-Salon Luxury Extensions Maintenance Schedule:

Monthly: Visit the salon every two to four weeks for a professional shampoo, treatment, and style. This ensures your extensions are properly maintained and your natural hair is cared for. All in-salon extensions shampoo services include a customized treatment to strengthen and hydrate your natural hair.

8 Weeks Post Installation: Have your Volume Weft Microlinks and I-Tip extensions professionally tightened or adjusted to ensure they remain secure, tension-free, and natural-looking for another 8 weeks. After this cycle, we strongly suggest you remove your extensions and reinstall. This ensures minimal breakage and allows us to reposition beadwork.

K-Tips are Maintenance-Free: K-Tips require no maintenance, making them a low-maintenance option for those with busy schedules.

Scalp Care: Amika Reset Cleansing Oil: Use this cleansing oil weekly to maintain a healthy scalp environment, essential for both natural hair and extensions.
